This describes a phenomenon I experience every Sunday night, wherein I become suddenly energized and can’t fall asleep. I used to think it was my anticipation for the week ahead, but these days I’m apt to think it’s my denial that the weekend is over. If I go to sleep, when I wake up it will be Monday. And that’s no fun. So, I’m left here, watching Ice Road Truckers and trying to will myself to be sleepy. :-/
Actually, now that I look through the few feeble posts I have, this is the only one I thought worth importing over from my WordPress account. So… here it is.

More than I should. Way more than a normal person, that’s for sure. In fact, over the past several days, Google and I have started up a sort of love affair. I’m even thinking about how I now want to work for Google. I mean, have you SEEN the doodles? Like, seriously. I thought the one for Robert Bunsen’s birthday was pretty cool, but they do these internationally, for all kinds of holidays, and famous scientists/authors/cool people’s birthdays. Besides providing me with something to do when I’m bored at work, the Google doodles have actually inspired me to learn. From finding out what St. George’s Day is all about to learning the works of Rene Magritte. I find it inspiring to know that Google has chosen to honor ANZAC Day. It’s kind of creepy how excited I get over the Google doodles. I’ve already thought about the kick-ass one they could do for next year’s 100th anniversary of the Titanic sinking. But it’s gotten me to thinking… what if we lived our lives the way Google runs with their logo? How much better could the world be if we all tried to reinvent ourselves once in a while, reach out to our fellow man, added a little beauty to the view? Maybe Google is just a search engine (the best search engine- if you use Bing, you disgust me). But maybe, just maybe Google could teach us all a little about life, and the beauty to be found in the every day things.
But there are some other titles that need to be mentioned.

that blogging could be so exhausting? I had abandoned this tumblr for awhile, but now after a third name change and another change of theme, I’ve decided to move all my Wordpress entries over here. I’ve heard Wordpress is better, but frankly, I find it a bit confusing. And with the rise in popularity of tumblr (at least according to my twitter feed), I figured this would be a good bet. Besides, I can’t delete my Blogger (soon to be Google Blogs apparently) account… I have too much vested in that one. =)
Anyway, I only had like 5 posts over there so it won’t take long to do.
